I entrusted Sword with the repurchase of the moray materials. I mean, I’d totally hate it if that nutcase of a guy showed up again. Sticking with Leemon and her friends, I went on a last shoppin spree in this town.

“Did you find any men or women of interest?”

Everyone immediately froze upon my question.

“You’re in the middle of looking for potential marriage partners, aren’t you? If you don’t search high and low and make a pass at anyone who clicks with you, you won’t ever find one, you know?”

“””””……”””””

“I didn’t think of that at all,” was clearly written on their faces. But, look, you’ll never find a partner if you’re so carefree about stuff like that!

I sighed, “If you land yourself a lover, I’ll be alright with you taking them back to our base, too. Just as I’ll be alright if you settle down in this region with them. As long as you tell me, I’ll also pay you marriage celebratory money, so go ahead and date anyone you want without any reservations. If you don’t, it looks like you’ll be doomed to run my stall as bachelors for eternity.”

“””””……”””””

It appeared like they had clearly envisioned that future as they immediately became gloomy.

“Somehow, I don’t get the feeling of liking someone…”

“I think they’re good people, but taking it any further…”

“The conversations are limited to greetings.”

“How does it feel to have the hots for someone anyway?”

“I got a crush on you, Lady Indra!” Leemon declared something amusing while raising a hand.

“Big bro told you that he’s against it, didn’t he!?” Hassa objected huffily.

“Even without you being against it, I’m going to stay single, so Leemon, look for someone else,” I rejected her calmly once more.

――Taking those five people who seemed to completely lack any will to check out the opposite sex, I went shopping.

“Pretty lady, what is this here?” I asked the shopkeeper after spotting an interesting object, earning myself a hard look by all members of Taking It Easy.

“These? They’re fruits harvested in another country. They last long and taste nicely.”

What weird fruits. I’ll buy them since they pique my interest.

Once I finished my shopping after getting on the shopkeeper’s good side by friendly chatting with her, the members of Taking It Easy stood there, looking so surprised that I was worried about their jaws falling off.

“What’s wrong?”

“……Lady Indra, you’re the perfect womanizer, no?”

…or such they muttered. But, what are they talking about?

“Getting on the good side of people during shopping is the basics of the basics, isn’t it? It might earn you some freebies or extras, no? Or rather, I’m always courteous when it comes to business relations. After all, it concerns my own interests.”

Upon my explanation, the Taking It Easy members looked at each other in doubt, but whenever I tried it so far, it worked out fairly well. However, this sort of getting along with shopkeepers and merchants has the downside of not working on men. I cannot understand why they’d stare at me so suspiciously.

“Oh, I don’t know this veggie here. Nice mister, what’s this?”

When I asked a greengrocer like that, he gave me a dubious look.

“What a creepy lad. This here?”

…Why does it trigger such a reaction? Why creepy?

“Mister, if you feel bad, wouldn’t it be better for you to take a rest as soon as possible?”

“That ain’t what I meant!”

Moreover, I got scolded when I worried about him.

When I somehow managed to wrap up the shopping over there despite that hiccup, Hassa admonished me with a fed-up expression, “Lady Indra… Even if you engage with a dude kindly, it will be wasted effort.”

“I’m a pretty girl! …Oh, I see, he must have been embarrassed! He got all bashful after getting called a nice mister by such a beauty like me!”

All five of them gave me a cold look.

“…Lady Indra, I do think that you have a good-looking face, but if I were called a “nice mister” by you on our first meeting, I’d think of you as highly suspicious, too.”

I was told something terrible.

I told the party members of Taking It Easy to work their noses and buy interesting stuff for me, even extending that instruction towards them finding dating partners, if they’re up to it. Then we departed to continue buying all sorts of things.

“Lady Indra, what is this?”

“No need to ask. Just buy it. We’ll think about it later on.”

Leemon whistled at me, “As I thought, I think I’ve totally fallen in love with you.”

“No, your Big Bro is against it!”

“And me too as I’m going to stay single.”

Listen to what others tell you.
