The demonkin around Lynn didn’t start crying in the end. Pheew, that’s good.

“It’s not like that! I’m sure His Majesty has a great reason for this. Don’t believe the words of some random human. Let’s have an audience with His Majesty. I’m certain he will readily clear up this misunderstanding.”

Watching the other demonkin frantically soothe Lynn with faces full of worry, I nodded. Yep, just as I thought, they’re a race who pamper and get pampered!

I took a photo of the pretty, consoling demonkin and the sobbing, handsome Lynn.

“Okay, I’m going to send this to Damsel Scarlet. I’m sure it will excite her.”

Hearing my monologue, Sword looked at me, “Eh? Why?”

You’re seriously asking that? …Okay, I guess I’ll tell you.

“Damsel Scarlet has that sort of fetish. She likes stories about men getting close to other men. Especially intimate relationships between men, she considers as handsome, should be of extreme delight to her. I’m sure she won’t be able to get enough of this.”

“Yuck.”

Sword was dumbstruck.

With a sidelong glance at him, I sent the picture to her, and added, 『Demon King’s Country Now! A pic of demonkin consoling the demonkin who cried after I talked with him』

Damsel Scarlet answered instantly, 『Noble~~~! So very noble~~~~!!!』

Sword peered at my tablet PC, and after reading her message, he lifted his face with furrowed brows, apparently confused.

“I don’t get the meanin’ of this.”

“It means that she likes this picture a lot, I’d say.”

Sword who had his image of Damsel Scarlet shattered, I who was thrilled over the possibility of meeting His Majesty the Demon King, and Lynn who was licking his candy that I gave him to make him stop crying, were waiting for our audience with the demon king.

Casting a sidelong glance at Lynn, I said, “Calming quibbling children by giving them candy is the same everywhere!”

“No one wouldn’t stop after gettin’ the candy made by you. Besides, candies aren’t even sold normally to be the same over here. The only place stockin’ ’em is Ben’s store. Ain’t no way folks wouldn’t stop cryin’ after receivin’ such rare treat,” Sword said apathetically.

But now that he mentions it, I have to admit he’s got a point.

I soothed Lynn, “Now, now, stop crying. It doesn’t really matter who has been using you and how, right? It’s a choice you made yourself, correct? So, if you decided to destroy the humans, you just need to do that, regardless of other folks having another agenda with this. Crying won’t change anything, you know?”

Lynn nodded lightly. And then he quietly muttered, “……I definitely can’t win against the humans. No demonkin could ever hope to win against such strong creatures. It’s impossible for us to destroy them.”

Or some such he was saying, but…he hasn’t even fought against any humans yet, so he can’t tell how strong they are, can he?

“Well, it’s true that I’m strong, but I don’t know whether you’Re strong or weak. Isn’t it fine to think it over after giving battle a go first? Sword was apparently even with the demonkin who attacked the capital, and I should be as strong as Sword is, so you might be strong as well?”

Lynn shook his head at my words.

“…The previous brave was a dragon tamer, extolled to be history’s strongest demonkin. That’s why it was so simple for him to cross the desert and attack the humans right off the bat. But, a normal brave cannot cross the desert, and I’m not as strong as that predecessor either.”

Baaaaaah, if you’re telling me all this, you’re going to make me curious about that previous demonkin brave.

“……Has that previous brave come back here? I’d like to fight him for a bit.”

Lynn shook his head and replied, “I was convinced that he had been defeated by the humans. …But, even if not, a brave’s lifespan is short. The stronger they are, the shorter their lifespan.”

Oh my, that sounds pitiable. Then he might already be dead by now, I suppose.

Besides, it wouldn’t be strange to think that he wants to spend his remaining days peacefully, seeing how he didn’t attack the capital a second time.

I folded my arms and breathed out through the nose, “Hmm, I see. Then he might be spending his last days gracefully together with the cute dragon he’s tamed. But, yeah, I can understand his feelings. I also plan to spend the rest of my life on a floating island with my golems after destroying this planet, once Sword dies.”

Lynn looked at me, blinking his eyes in surprise.

“…Destroy this planet, you said? Not just the demon king’s country, but the whole planet?”

I nodded at him, “I abhor the humans living on this planet! To the degree that I regret having been born on this planet! I’d hate to be reincarnated here after my death. So, in order for that to not happen, I have no choice but to destroy this planet, right? I plan to eradicate all living beings with a grand, taboo spell! Ouch!”

Sword dropped a fist on my head.

“Lynn is goin’ to take you serious, you know?”

What are you saying? I am serious here.

As I puckered my lips while pouting, about to line up some counter-arguments, Sword lightly waved it off and said to Lynn, “This girl’s mouth is sayin’ all that, but she’ll never follow up on it. She’s a softie to the degree of bein’ pushed around by the maids at our base, who idolize her dearly. Indra, can you use that grand spell of yours to kill the cute elf and dwarf back at our mansion? Can you kill Shikibu, Black Fatty, and all the other monsters your keepin’?”

Ugh, having it thrown at me like that, I didn’t know what to answer.
