Chapter 436 – Home of the Ancient Wolfmen
<– Previous Chapter | Glossary | TOC | Next Chapter –>
I had Helme come back into my left eye before following the group of ancient wolfmen who had moved ahead.
We kept running. Just running all the time. Totally giving me the feeling of being on a journey. That’s also why my various meetings, encounters, and abroad companions all crossed my mind as I kept running through the forest.
Looking ahead, Higlia was leading the wolfmen. Her current conduct of even cleverly ordering Daon-san and Ryokline around makes her look pretty cool. It’s a wide difference to the past when she got cautioned by the dwarf Donagan.
Higlia occasionally looked back towards us, confirming that no one was left behind or that too much of a distance opened up between us.
At one point, the swiftly headed over to us in order to explain the current situation.
“There is still some way to travel until we reach our headquarters and hometown 【God Moon City Hurleya】. First we’re going to head for the 【Wolf’s Horn Wax Eye】.”
“I suppose we’ll continue south like this then?”
“That’s how it is. We left the territory of the White Lady. Looking at it from Cydale, we’ve closed in on the Heim River in the southwestern direction. I guess…you could call it connected to the Sea of Tree’s underground.”
This area has fairly complicated terrain.
“Well, seeing how you came here to inform us despite me entrusting the lead to you means things are going to become harsher from now on?”
Higlia nodded, “Correct. As you can see, this is a strategic position…one of the battlefields active since the old days.”
“The Sea of Trees is a battlefield, huh?”
“…Many of our brethren, including our ancestor wolf commanders, fought here and died. This place is called 【Gravesite Tree Cliff of the Red Wolves】. The many bones lying all over the place are clear proof of that.”
Higlia placed a hand on her chest and closed her eyes partly. It looked almost as if she was saluting the dead.
“The bones of our ancestors…,” she muttered while scanning the vicinity.
Certainly…bones are scattered as far as the eyes can see.
“Bones and also monsters…”
Monsters which consisted of nothing but bones. And also monsters with a shape close to that of flame clusters. The latter were swaying around in the air.
“Yep. We will go on after subjugating all of those. They’re clearly weaker than the sword spirits. Or rather, those spirits were way too formidable… The presence of the Holy Sword Saraten-sama allowed us to focus on defense without worry.”
After a short intermezzo by Saraten and Itasha about being released, I answered Higlia, “Aye. So, is there a graveyard for your ancestors in your hometown?”
“Of course. Half of spring has already passed, so the Pledge of Light and the Brave Wolf’s Ceremony probably finished being held at the cemetery.”
The Underground Auction took place at the end of the year. So, if it’s still spring, around fifty to sixty days have passed since then? It might be about time for summer to hit.
The weather in this forest area changes in various ways, so it’s a bit hard to tell.
Higlia spoke up as I was thinking all that, “For starters, there’s also the promise. A distorted slop is also a bad place to fight, so I’ll explain while we walk.”
Promise? What sort of promise, I wondered, but didn’t voice out.
“Very well, Princess.”
Hearing my words, Higlia narrowed her eyes for an instant. But she immediately revealed a broad grin.
As we walked on, we defeated the nearby monsters. Lisana and Jody stayed away from us. They followed the wolfmen in front while traveling across tall trees and their branches.
After watching those two for a moment, I took Rollodeen and Higlia with me and walked onwards.
At that moment, a medium-sized spider monster appeared. It resembled the one we encountered on the 20th floor of the labyrinth in Pelneet. It attacked us by shooting black threads from its mouth.
Higlia dodged by moving to the left while I withdrew backwards. Rollodeen avoided the attack by moving to the right. Once I saw that everyone had safely evaded the attack, I announced, “I’ll take care of it.”
I moved the left foot somewhat forward while moving the right foot somewhat backward, now standing sideways. After summoning Baldok and Ganghis, I adopted the basic stance of the Dual-Spear Style.
“Shuuya, you’re totally roaring to go, aren’t you? That’s a nice stance you have there.”
“Aye. Thanks.”
“Speaking figuratively…that stance should be 『Dual Spear Style – Stance of the Divine Evil』, right?”
“Considering it’s you, that sounds pretty nice for a name, Higlia. Nothing less of a divine princess.”
“No need for flattery. Rather than that, the spider is a subspecies of Black Conductors. It shoots threads from its mouth, just like it did moments ago. Be also mindful of its compound eyes. Those will shoot magic balls at you. The movements of its legs are fast. Even Wolf Commander Dorcell got injured when he was surrounded by several of them,” Higlia briefed me.
“Thanks for the advice, but…”
“Nyaa~”
I activated Bloody Accel after invoking <Blood Path – Open Third Gate> and releasing my earlier stance.
While hearing the meowing of my partner, I kicked off the ground, charging at the spider monster. The monster panicked when it saw my boosted speed. It shot projectiles at me from its eyes and mouth.
I focused on <Super Brain – Hazy Moon Reflection on Water>. Using my left heel as center of gravity, I rotated to the left, evading the thread coming at me first. Next, the magic balls flickered in my visual field.
Shifting my weight on the toes of my right foot, I quickly changed my mana distribution in the legs. Then I raised the speed by one level.
After dodging and passing through the violet magic bullets at hair’s breadth, I powerfully kicked off the ground and closed the distance between the spider and me in an instant.
Trying out my dual spear style on the spider, I launched a chain of <Water Drill> attacks with Ganghis and Baldok against the spider’s torso right after entering the spear’s range.
The spider got pierced by Baldok and Ganghis’s spearhead in the torso. The storm-shaped spearhead of Baldok drilled through bone-like parts.
While feeling a feedback through both my palms, I activated several instances of <Water Refinement – Demonic Chain Drill> without any delay. The attacks surpassed four attacks in a row. It was a combined spear attack from Baldok and Ganghis.
In no time, the spider’s torso was riddled by several holes. As a finisher, I unleashed a right turning kick. The kick’s aim was the head with its squirming eyes.
The instep of Arzen’s Boot immediately impacted on the spider’s temporal area. The instant the spider’s head got dented in, it exploded like a ripe tomato. Its violet and black flesh was scattered all over the area.
Of course I thankfully accepted the blood and mana like a good vampire. The remaining torso of the spider turned into a corpse then and there. It weakly fell to the ground while violet blood kept gushing out of the part where its head used to be.
Rollodeen didn’t wait and quickly ate up the fallen spider monster.
“Shuuya, you’re strong! Divine Beast-sama’s way of eating is great too! Hehe. Oh, there are still monsters left…”
Higlia took the initiative against the other enemies while rejoicing over my victory. The new enemies were humanoid monsters with white bodies.
Higlia and I worked together to put them down. Rollodeen also joined in every now and then. In addition, we also encountered deer monsters of the Tree King of Wonders, but we dispatched them without any problems.
Soon, shining leaves with shapes similar to fern increased tin number on the ground. Higlia told me that those were different from Memento Herbs.
Eventually, tall trees with leaves like those of palm trees began to increase. Looking from the sky, the must form a pretty canopy, I’m sure. Various fruits of different sizes grew on the branches. I could also see fruits looking somewhat like kiwi from down here.
Birds cheerfully twittered and chattered while creating rainbow splashes as they aimed for the fruits.
“This is one of God Wolf Hurley-sama’s blessings. The fruits of the trengik are delicious. And the meat of the Arzen birds, the ones releasing rainbow-colored mana, is great too. I’ve been eating it often back at home.”
Arzen, huh? Going by the name…don’t tell me it’s a migratory bird hailing from the southern continent? At least I doubt those birds are connected to the guy who made my boots.
Still, the god wolf blessings, eh? For sure I can believe that the creation of orchards could have been a coincidence in this forest. Moreover, I doubt it’s accidental for Hoffmann to have chosen this land either.
This might also be the reason why the wheat belt of Oseberia is located close to the Sea of Forests. Cydale’s meadow has been growing quite profusely too, but the nutrients in the ground might be especially high around this area.
The places where I could feel the ground beneath me being soft, as if you were stepping on humus, had increased.
At that moment I recalled Higlia’s expression when she had told Quiche, 『Trade with Cydale will be difficult』. She probably had the monsters and terrain in mind back then. And she’s totally right about it, trade would be hard.
It might have happened because of her wanting to pair with me but, Higlia listened to Quiche’s requests and cooperated in various ways for the sake of the children living in Cydale. She doesn’t speak much about it and doesn’t show it with her attitude, but Higlia is a good girl.
Currently she was smiling for me while cutely waving her tail left and right. And she used her silver claws to prune down the leaves in our way by nimbly swinging them up and down over and over. She cut the leaves in our way just as she defeated the monsters appearing around us. And just like that she gave me an explanation of the area as if we were on a stroll.
“I heard one of our wolf commanders lost his life at the cliff over here.”
“Hoh.”
While listening, I observed the entangled trees around us.
“This path might become usable as a road in the future…,” Higlia muttered.
The place she led us to was…it wasn’t as though it was sun-flooded, but the temperature suddenly rose in the trench between cliffs. That place was overgrown with bazillions of plant vines carrying fruits in the shape of crescent moons.
At the same time, the smell of fermentation hit my nose. Wild flowers with nectar sacks emitting that scent covered the upper part of the slope.
Just like here, the whole region was rampant with vegetation. But, luckily the sun often found its way through the leaf canopy.
Next, as we walked down a steep rock, the temperature fell, unlike before. It became cold. Did the rocks and trees absorb the heat? No, water was flowing through the gaps of rugged rock. The water itself seemed cold.
I could see a small waterfall, and also a spring. And because this was a slope, the water streamed quickly.
“There are many springs with clean water around,” Higlia explained proudly.
“Sounds like a forest, yep. Environmental diversity is the same wherever you go, but this place also has its own peculiarities.”
“We also benefit from the Sea of tree’s blessings.”
“You mean the thing Azol and her people also mentioned?”
“Yep. Speaking of Azol, the earlier incident has turned into a good experience.”
“A good experience? How?”
“Yep, I was able to understand that you won’t resolve everything by fighting. If I had spent my time inside the cage of a princess while living the life of an ancient wolfwoman in my home town…I’d have never been able to learn so much. Of course, that’s a way of thinking I can only embrace because you’re lending us your strength,” she said with a sharp look at me.
I deliberately muttered, “Well, those are the circumstances,” while hinting at something.
“…We have many enemies in the Sea of Trees. You want to say that it’s partially inevitable too?”
“Yep. It’s important to possess strength as an ancient wolfman race. It’s not wrong to be proud of your own race which has held onto its turf, no matter the amount of enemies.”
“…Thanks.”
Higlia’s cheeks blushed and she wagged her tail.
“To be honest…I want to quickly get back to my home town with you for the ritual.”
“Then…,” I tried to offer her a ride on Rollodeen.
But, she said, “Wait. Of course we’d arrive faster if we got on Divine Beast-sama’s back and flew. But, I have an important promise with Quiche who accepted me!”
So the promise involves Quiche? Well, it makes sense that various events in Cydale happen behind the scenes, but Higlia and her wolfmen seem to have deepened their friendship with Quiche and the other villagers of Cydale.
“…A promise, huh?”
“Yep. There exist various promises besides the one to forge an official alliance. Even though it’s clear that trade will be difficult, we will grope for a way to connect Wolf Moon City Hurleya and Cydale. We must first check which route could be the safest,” Higlia explained while looking in the distance.
Ah, so that’s why, huh? We weren’t just enjoying a stroll. I suppose she gave me an explanation about all sorts of terrains to fulfill her promise with Quiche. And their talks probably included many other promises between women, too.
After all, Higlia is going to have her ritual with me. But, Quiche is Quiche, and I’m me. Just as I kept my promise to Quiche, I’ll keep my promise to Higlia. Even so, I don’t plan to spend much time in that city of the wolfmen.
“…Gotcha,” I replied while staring at Higlia.
She nodded, “And I’ve said it many times over, but monsters appear here. Divine Beast-sama, I’m counting on you as well.”
Higlia lowered her body so as to match eyes with Rollodeen who was currently a panther.
“Nya!”
“I also count on Jody and the new Spirit-sama!” She yelled, waving a hand.
“Okay.”
“I understand――”
Jody and Lisana answered while dancing in the sky and waving their hands.
“Well then, I guess I’ll try to help with the monster hunting and weed pruning.”
“No, the earlier hunt was already plenty. Above all, Daon and Ryokline have warned me. For now, please rest. We’ll take over and lead you to our hometown! Anyway, I’m going back to the front!” Higlia said with the pride of one representing her race as divine princess.
We’re being treated as guests.
“…Sure.”
I had no intention to really rest, but Higlia immediately smiled when she heard my answer. She vigorously nodded with her silver forelocks bouncing and turned on her heels with a swift movement.
Just like this we steadily headed deeper into the Sea of Trees. Just as Higlia had mentioned, we encountered various things, including monsters. Also, trees that spit poisonous slime, a swarm of walking dinosaur bones clad in mana, tree monsters with many legs which scattered a weird smell, and even trees that induced illusions (those were called Gicis). Azol and her people used powdered Gicis for traps. I hear those Gicis were widely spread from the south to the west of the Sea of Trees.
◇◇◇◇
Before long, the animal trail decreased significantly and a dirt road came into sight. That and the surrounding environment suddenly started to look very orderly.
I saw a sign affixed to a tree’s trunk and also a lamp similar to a mushroom. The ancient wolfmen’s characteristic Dreamcatcher-like decorations are funny.
A wind also blew by. All over the place, you could see nameplates with drawings of wolves extending their claws.
At the same time as we caught up with Higlia and her wolfmen, I felt many magic sources from ahead of us.
“Oh, Princess!”
“Our princess is heeere! She came baaaaaack!”
“Yahooooooo!”
Ancient wolfmen started to kick up a fuss.
“Eeh? A human is close to our princess!? Huh? Beautiful beings are floating…no, unknown monsters!? B-Besides, that one is surrounded by butterflies…is she possibly…a-a death butterfly woman!? Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahh!”
“Whoa, first time for me to see one…a black panther is with them, too!!”
“Hey, is that truly a death butterfly woman? She’s floating close to our princess and she’s wearing proper clothes…the problem is that woman who’s floating above that jar, I think…”
“Princess! Are those people your acquaintances!”
“Send a messenger!”
The young warrior got very excited after seeing us.
“W-Wait! You guys, don’t act on your emotions!” Higlia extended her claws and yelled with her fur standing on end.
In the end we avoided further problems thanks to Daon-san, Ryokline, and the squad that traveled with us explaining things. I checked out the equipment of the young soldiers who had calmed down after getting an explanation.
Their nail armor was different as every nail armor seemed to be unique. Most of them hadn’t turned their claws into armor. It was a simple version with just gauntlets and weapons. They covered their torso with soft leather armor. I guess it was supposed to allow them to capitalize on their swiftness and agility.
Their fur protruded out through the gaps in the armor. It was real fur as typical for ancient wolfmen. To me they simply look like werewolves. Then again, this world has tiger and leopard beastmen. I can’t really tell them apart though.
As I continued observing the situation, Higlia separated from the soldiers who had come to greet her.
“This here is 【Wolf’s Horn Wax Eye】. We’re now fully in the turf of the ancient wolfmen. Maybe you can even see the 【Roofed Corridor of Twin Moon Trees】,” she explained to me.
“Gotcha.”
After Higlia’s group finished the greetings with the young soldiers, Ryokline and Daon-san hurled out some orders and we departed.
We descended along an animal trail, which seemed to be in the mountains, as it continued to gently slope. Before long, the number of unusual conifers that looked like inverted trees started to grow. Because of their thick branches and their big, lush leaves, little sunlight reached the ground.
Eventually, the gentle slope became steeper as we had apparently reached the backland of the Sea of Trees. Muddy soil on the path had also begun to become more frequent, giving it a difficult consistency to tread on. But, the increase stayed within limits.
Rollodeen and I rhythmically descended the path, aiming at stair-like boards. Those were natural boards that possessed bark as a surface. As I raced a bit with Rollodeen, I checked for Jody and Lisana in the air.
Both were flying, no, Jody was sitting…on Lisana’s Wave Gourd while leaning her scythe against her shoulder. Jody’s lap was filled with red flower petals. A lap blanket out of flowers, huh?
The gourd’s upper part had also changed its shape to make it easier for Jody to sit there. Is that also an effect of the skill?
As I thought that, I firmly landed on a plank with both my feet and stopped moving. Rollodeen caught up to me and ran further down, urging me with her meowing to chase. But she soon forgot our race and ran after Higlia’s or Lulun’s tail.
After seeing off Rollodeen, I looked up to Lisana and Jody. Both had stopped as well, now floating in place.
From the eyes of an ordinary person who cannot use Magic Observation, it should look like a heavy, metallic gourd is floating beneath Lisana. In reality, plenty of magic lines are extending from her lower body, connecting her to the gourd.
After pondering about this, I continued my descent along the natural tree-made stairway.
I think I’ve descended far enough. Guess I should take a peek at the hometown of the ancient wolfmen by taking a direct shortcut.
I focused on the Magic Combat Style in my trunk, firmly grabbed the handle of Baldok, and took the pose of an Olympic spear thrower, following the motion of <Throw>. Without minding Baldok’s eerie cackling I felt I heard because it desired my flesh when its spearhead came close to my cheek, I targeted a huge tree that reminded me of the leg of a giant as it extended diagonally above from the slope.
And then I released the tension in my right arm and back, <Throwing> Baldok at the tree. The magic halberd headed straight upwards while drawing an arc, before deeply stabbing into the upper part of the tree. A crack ran through the tree and the area around the spear caved in radially due to the impact.
Next I started to charge toward Baldok. While dashing I kicked off the slop, jumping into the sky. Using <Magic Hand guided by Thought> as a foothold, I performed several jumps before I eventually landed on Baldok’s handle. The handle shook heavily from my landing, but while it was still swaying, I grabbed the Magic Dragon Gem with one hand while shading my eyes with the remaining hand.
I scanned my vicinity.
There was a place where blue vines or trees extended spherically. I couldn’t grasp the whole extent at my current position. It’s bending and if I had to make a forecast, it’s got the shape of a huge volleyball-like semicircle, I suppose.
I’m really curious about that. That’s the hometown of the wolfmen, isn’t it? Rather, won’t I be able to see the whole thing if I climb even higher?
『Your Excellency, that sphere seems to be a gathering of gigantic trees』
『Maybe. It could be that place Higlia called Roofed Corridor of Twin Moon Trees』
I pulled Baldok out of the tree and went up higher into the sky by using <Magic Hand guided by Thought>. After shooting down bat and eyeball monsters with my <Chain> up in the skies above the Sea of Trees, I gazed at that place which seemed to be the headquarters of the wolfmen.
Thanks to the birds eye view I found it quickly. It was a spot where valleys overlapped.
It seemed to be a gathering of a group of huge trees with an ocean blue coloring. An area with masses of silver roses seems to be mixed in as well. There’s a hole in the center of that sphere while the trees and roses around it look like a swirling typhoon. I guess you could also describe it as a donut with interweaving silver and blue colors.
I guess that’s where I’ll find Higlia’s hometown. The Wolf Moon City, right?
From up here, the Roofed Corridor of Twin Moon Trees looks more like a dome-shaped baseball stadium than a roofed corridor.
I quickly got back down to everyone else. I spotted Higlia, Rollodeen, Lisana, and Jody chatting while laughing. Daon-san was scolding a soldier, who seemed to be a young platoon leader, while donning a strict expression. Ryokline was next to Higlia, taking part in the conversation over there.
At that point, Higlia noticed my descent.
“――You were up in the sky!? Shuuya, if we cross the hill ahead of this river, we’ll reach my home.”
“Aye.”
I followed with my eyes where she was pointing.
『The fallen leaves are lovely. It’s a river with a beautiful hue. It also has many water spirits』, Helme told me telepathically.
And just as she pointed out, there was a pretty river ahead of us. Glowing leaves filled with mana were dancing in the air and falling onto the river’s surface.
Just when I was about to cross it while looking at the leaf canopy of the trees at the riverbank, Higlia stopped me by saying, “Shuuya, umm, it’s hard for me to say this…”
“What’s wrong?”
“Umm, your new Spirit-sama…Lisana-sama…she stands out. …Jody will be fine, though.”
Being told she’d be fine, Jody made a hat appear on her head. It was decorated with nicely-looking flowers. Just that blood was dripping from them.
I shifted my eyes from Jody to Lisana, “She’s got a point. Lisana, can you grow out legs?”
“It seems like any more than this is still impossible.”
Sounds like anything beyond the thighs is still a no go.
“If she could return to the Wave Gourd, she won’t stand out either.”
“Oh, in that case, sorry, but could you go back into the gourd for us?”
“No need to be sorry. Rather, it feels nice in there! Being inside the gourd also enhances my growth!” Lisana cheerfully returned inside the gourd in the next instant.
Meanwhile the gourd remained floating in the air…
“Can you see anything in that state?”
“――gh!”
At that moment, rusty mana gushed out of the Wave Gourd. Illusions of snails and slugs scattered into the vicinity accompanied by Baroque music. The illusions collided with the fallen leaves around us and vanished as if being absorbed into the leaves.
On the other hand, new red petals grew out on the Wave Gourd’s surface. Grasping Perception-like mana was released from those petals. The petals cutely moved as if they were wing replacements.
The gourd floated up to me. When I placed a hand on the gourd, its surface trembled happily. Moreover, childish hands were born from a part of the petals, which then firmly latched themselves on the back of my hand. What a cute sensation.
Let me test whether I can now store the gourd in my item box.
“Lisana, I’m going to try to store you in my item box.”
“……”
The hold of the childish hands strengthened. I guess that’s her reply.
And then I swiftly operated my item box, and put the Wave Gourd inside. This futuristic item box had apparently recognized Lisana as an item. But, seeing how Helme couldn’t be put inside, I don’t get what criterion it applies here.
I’ve got some more tests I want to run with this, but I’ll do so when I have a moment of peace.
Next I retrieved the gourd from the item box again.
“Lisana, you okay?”
“――Yes!”
She answered after appearing from the top of the gourd.
“Okay, please go back inside the gourd.”
“Alright.”
And then I stored the Wave Gourd with Lisana in it back into the item box.
Afterwards we advanced along the river, following a path with huge, tall pillar-like trees lining up at the side. The sun’s light wasn’t reaching us down here anymore, but it was now brighter than before. The glow emitted by the falling leaves was pretty powerful.
At that point, a comfortable wind picked up, causing the fallen leaves and the falling leaves to whirl around. Combined with the faint streaks of light breaking through the leaf canopy, it made for a beautiful scene as if gods were descending on the surface.
Before long, something like a guard hut or wooden house for hunters came into sight. Antlers decorated its entrance. Fishing rods, metal fittings, jute bags with claw marks, and jars were placed below the entrance.
“We’re almost there,” Higlia announced with a smile.
“Roger.”
I followed her while answering. We climbed a small hill along a dirt road.
“The number of beautiful places has increased.”
I nodded at Jody’s words, “True that.”
Stones which were emitting a magical light, decorated the sides of the road.
“Now we’re on the roads of my hometown,” said Higlia, her eyes becoming stern as she was apparently lost in thought.
Soon, the number of blue trees also started to increase. And just when we climbed all the way to the top of the hill…
Ooohh…those are…a wall is running along the outer edges of the donut as if to support a pot’s lid in the sky.
“The city of the ancient wolfmen, huh?”
“Yep. Wolf Moon City Hurleya. My hometown,” answered Higlia.
She looked like she wanted to say some more. But without pointing that out, I directed my eyes at the wall of plants. From here it looked like a castle or fortress.
I could also see a line of people heading towards the curving, wooden wall. A river was close-by as well, but the long line continued across that river. Among them were special wagons fit for travel in the sea of trees. In addition, I saw all sorts of big and small luggage-carrying magic beasts who possessed limbs I’ve never seen before. Rollodeen got excited seeing those magic beasts.
Many in the line were humanoid…but, of course no humans were present here. Some were hiding themselves under overcoats, so humans might actually be mixed in there, though.
The scale made it pretty clear that this was the city of the ancient wolfmen. And many big tents were set up in multiple layers. Just as Ryokline had mentioned some time ago, street stalls seem to be a thing. Some of those stalls even had chimneys (likely because they’re cooking). Smoke was rising from the chimneys and as the sunlight shone on the billowing smoke, it transformed into a blue gleam. The resulting faint streaks of light were reflected in all directions.
『Your Excellency, I suppose those are beastmen? There is a lot people here』
『Yeah』
After coming to this place, I’ve started to feel elated in some way.
And then all of us headed to a castle-town-like place. It appeared to have many stalls that were selling all sorts of wares.
I couldn’t spot a single human, and rather than beastmen, this place was full of nothing but ancient wolfmen. Lots of beastmen with dog ears.
Oh, fluffy ones! Small beastmen similar to Souther. And many of them. They were merchants who were carrying big purses around their necks. How cute.
In addition……ehh!?
I took another look. Those small creatures…hairy, small bear cubs!
“No way, Puyuyus!?”
T/N: I’ve cut out some of the scenery description. This journey from Cydale to Hurleya covered half a LN volume in page count. Mostly because the author is padding out the word count with exaggerated descriptions of the scenery and random thoughts about his companions, trivia, or said scenery.
