Chapter 33 – School Trip

October 15th was the day Yuuta’s class departed on its school trip. They had reserved Dreamseducer Land, a theme park built in Toukyou’s suburbs, to have some fun there before the official opening. Considering Yuuta’s health, they’d stay one night at the hotel built right in front of Dreamseducer Land. They’d spend today and tomorrow enjoying Dreamseducer Land to their heart’s content.
Seeing all the girls in his class wearing a Succubus Suit was a highlight for Yuuta. Those black, full-body suits were tightly clinging to their bodies, allowing him to get a good look at their figures as they walked with him through Dreamseducer Land. It was Yuuta’s first time touring the park, so he looked forward to seeing how they had implemented the idea he had proposed.
As its name suggested, Dreamseducer Land was a theme park centered around dreamseducers as a motif, but even though the park adopted some of a dreamseducer’s elements, it also featured attractions that could be enjoyed in a normal way. Or in other words, it wasn’t as though the guests would do lewd stuff at each attraction. Thrill rides like roller coasters were utterly devoid of sexual content, and the park also had areas where you could enjoy a normal musical stage.
If you took part in those attractions, the park offered the special benefit of being able to download memory data that could only be obtained inside Dreamseducer Land. Because all the girls in class wore Dreamseducer Yuu-exclusive Succubus Suits, the memory data they got at common attractions included Dreamseducer Yuu content. The same was, of course, true for the lewd attractions, too.
One attraction guided visitors through a space set up as a Dreamseducer world. You’d advance along a preset course, listening to announcements in Dreamseducer Yuu’s voice during the ride and enjoying all sorts of caresses. Another featured a house where you’d solve riddles to advance while enduring lewd pranks from Dreamseducer Yuu. In another one, you could enjoy downloading lewd memory data as you conversed with a life-sized Dreamseducer Yuu robot inside a coffee cup. As anyone could tell, it had become a theme park with various ingenious machinations to let the visitors have some fun.
The girls in Yuuta’s class took turns to tour the park with him. Yuuta also happened to see Ayaka and Tomoe in their Succubus Suits, but seeing his classmates in them was a novel experience, and they looked way too charming and incredibly arousing. And the girls were also aroused by Yuuta’s look as he was cosplaying as Dreamseducer Yuu.
It was slightly, no, quite embarrassing for him, but since the girls were overjoyed, Yuuta happily accepted his lot in fate.
For this school trip, unique data had been hidden inside Dreamseducer Land for Tomoe and the girls. So they all happily explored the park, trying to find the unique data.
As evening came, the class and their teacher returned to their hotel. After finishing dinner, Yuuta told Aoi, Yukishiro, Manami, Akari, and Moe that he’d like them to come to his room. When the girls followed his invitation and entered Yuuta’s room, they spotted someone unexpected there: Ayaka. Tomoe was also present in the room, pulling a glum expression for some reason.
“Ayaka-san, why are you here?”
“I was actually invited by Yuuta-sama and arrived here just a little while ago.”
Ayaka’s voice was different from usual, sounding somewhat stiff. She wore the same expression as Tomoe. It was rare for her to show Yuuta such an expression.
“Is something the matter?” Yukishiro asked, confused by the atmosphere surrounding Ayaka and Tomoe.
“Please sit down, everyone. There is something I’d like to explain.”
“Yuuta-sama, let’s stop doing something dangerous like that.”
『Dangerous?』
Aoi and the other girls immediately latched onto Tomoe’s words.
“First, I’d like to talk to everyone and listen to their opinion. We gathered here for that sake, after all.”
As soon as everyone took a seat, Yuuta stood up and started to talk, “Dreamseducer Land was fun, wasn’t it? I’m looking forward to its opening. Let’s continue enjoying the park with everyone tomorrow. Now then…we’re going to return afterward, but there’s a place I’d like to visit for a bit on the way back.”
“What place?”
“It’s Kisarazu.”
Kisarazu was a port region. It was around an hour away from their hotel.
“Why do you wish to go to Kisarazu?”
“Right now, Takuya and his class are visiting Kisarazu for their school trip.”
『Eh!?』
Aoi and the other girls were surprised. First off, about Takuya’s name coming up here, and second, about Takuya’s class having their school trip at Kisarazu. Kisarazu didn’t have any particular sightseeing spots. In the summer, they might have been able to play at the beach near Kisarazu, but it was currently October. It was way too late in the year to play around at the ocean.
“Yukishiro-san.”
“Y-Yes?”
“I was thinking about going to meet with Takuya-kun at Kisarazu.”
“W-Why would you do that?”
“For the sake of asking him about your Dad.”
“T-That’s…!”
Last August, Takuya went to meet Yukishiro’s father without warning. To find out how the Minato family head’s husband lived and what he thought. As a result, the summer resort where Yukishiro’s father lived had bolstered its security and surveillance to prevent any further such sudden visits.
Saori didn’t give Yukishiro permission to meet her father. However, Yukishiro wanted to know what sort of person her father was. Hence, Yuuta had concluded it’d be best to ask Takuya about Yukishiro’s father.
Hearing that idea, Yukishiro said with a flustered voice, “Yuuta-sama, thank you ever so much for thinking about my worries. But I don’t have any intention to listen to anything Takuya-sama has to say.”
“I believe I can understand your feelings on this, Yukishiro. However, right now, Takuya-kun is the sole option to acquire information about your Dad.”
“That’s true, but…”
“I was planning to ask Takuya-kun what sort of person your Dad was and whether he mentioned anything about his relationship with Saori-san. If there’s anything else you’d like to know, please tell me.”
“Wait, don’t tell me you intend to go meet Takuya-sama by yourself, Yuuta-sama!?”
“No. I won’t go there by myself. But I don’t intend to let you accompany me either, Yukishiro-san. It’d be hard for you to face him, right? And I’d hate to cause you such pain, too.”
“I-If I’m together with you, Yuuta-sama, I will be fine!”
“I’m very happy about your feelings. However, if you were to come with me, that in itself…would hinder Takuya-kun from showing any sympathy.”
“The danger Tomoe-onee-sama referred to was about the meeting with Takuya-sama?”
“Well…”
Just as Tomoe was about to answer Aoi’s question, Yuuta continued the explanation on his own.
“Takuya and his class apparently went with Kisarazu for their school trip, as they’re out of money.”
“Out of money?”
“Given that trade ships from Mir are frequenting the port of Kisarazu, there’s a special ward with Mir’s consulate in Kisarazu. They seem to have their school trip in a hotel located inside the special ward because they have no money.”
Aoi and the other women wondered why Yuuta had such detailed information about Takuya’s class plans and financial situation. Of course, they could investigate the information themselves if they felt like it, but information about Takuya had no worth to them.
“I was thinking about offering Takuya-kun to pay him if he tells us about Yukishiro-san’s Dad. But…I hear Layla-san is also attending that school trip.”
『!』
“It seems she was taking care of a royal who came with a delegation from Mir during the time I was unconscious, but those royals should have gone back to Mir by now. Right now, she’s in Mir’s special ward of Kisarazu together with Takuya’s class. Emily-san and Monica-san are with them, too.”
“Out of the question! You mustn’t go there, Yuuta-sama!”
Following Aoi’s outburst, Yukishiro, Manami, Moe, and Akari also objected to the idea. They couldn’t afford to let Yuuta go to a place where Layla would be.
“If you wish to talk with Takuya-sama under any circumstances, we will prepare a different occasion. We should take any measure so as to avoid Layla-san coming into contact with you.”
“I fully understand that your words are very sound and reasonable, Aoi-san. I’m also aware that you’re all worried about me. The reason for my deliberately approaching a place where I can find Layla comes from my own circumstances.”
“Your own circumstances, you say?”
“Yes. As a matter of fact…I received a request to cooperate with a certain person. She wants me to contact her if Layla-san tries to get close to me.”
“Huh? …What is this about?”
“I cannot tell you the name of the client, but…it will allow me to make that person owe me.”
The client was the prime minister, and Takuya’s caseworker Hanasaki served as the prime minister’s messenger. Yuuta had met Hanasaki once and stood in contact with her several times afterward. At first, he asked Hanasaki if she could ask Takuya about Yukishiro’s father in exchange for money. He had tried to obtain the information through Hanasaki without meeting Takuya in person. In response, Hanasaki had suggested meeting and talking with Takuya during the school trip. She was also the one who informed Yuuta that Layla was attending the school trip. Hanasaki also assured Yuuta that Nihon would protect him and that it’d be enough for Yuuta to talk to Takuya at Kisarazu.
“Only the presence of Layla will pose a danger. Emily-san and Monica-san don’t seem interested in me. I won’t try to contact Layla from my side. I’ll simply talk to Takuya-kun and go home. Layla-san won’t be allowed to enter the room where Takuya-kun and I will talk. I believe I’ll have Tomoe-san and Ayaka-san come along as my guards. You girls…are hated by Takuya-kun, so…”
Takuya hated Aoi and Manami, who had embarrassed him during the final School Day of junior high. Those two knew this better than anyone else.
“I know I’ll cause all of you to worry. Sorry for being so selfish.”
When Yuuta told them he had to do it because of his own circumstances, Aoi and the others couldn’t simply turn him down. They wanted to fulfill Yuuta’s wishes as much as possible. But when danger threatened to reach Yuuta because of that, they’d naturally remove it.
“I will have the Yoshiwaras dispatch guards at once.”
“I will have the Minatos do the same.”
To Aoi and Yukishiro, this was a natural response.
But.
“Forgive me, but I would like you to refrain from that as well.”
“W-Why!?”
“It’s a demand by the client. However, the client will dispatch people to ensure my safety.”
The ones protecting Yuuta would likely be a guard corps from Nihon. Given that Hanasaki had told Yuuta that Nihon would protect him, the Yoshiwaras and Minatos didn’t have to dispatch their guards. Rather, guard units from those two families might hinder the state’s objective by entering Kisarazu, putting Nihon’s guard corps on high alert and potentially leading to fights between the two groups, Yuuta assumed.
Nihon wasn’t targeting Layla. Layla wasn’t that much of a bigshot to be worth all this trouble. However, Yuuta suspected Layla could be used to achieve the outcome Nihon wanted.
They’re trying to get Layla to go nuts by dangling me as bait in front of her…
Yuuta found the whole flow of his conversation with Hanasaki way too convenient for everyone involved. After getting Ayaka to contact Hanasaki and relay to her that he’d like information about Yukishiro’s father in exchange for money from Takuya, Hanasaki suggested having that meeting at Kisarazu, the school trip’s destination for Takuya’s class.
Yuuta was pretty sure Hanasaki had led penniless Takuya to choose Kisarazu for his school trip because she wanted Takuya to meet him. He wondered whether anything was special about Kisarazu’s port.
She’s expecting Layla to get close to me in Kisarazu and try to do something silly, Yuuta believed. Trade ships are coming and going at Kisarazu’s port. Assuming Hanasaki-san purposely guided Takuya towards choosing Kisarazu as the school trip destination, is she targeting some trade ship? Well, I guess there’s no point in my delving too deeply into the objectives of the state. I simply will meet Takuya-kun and ask him what I want to know.
“I cannot tell you anything about the client for the moment, but…I think you won’t find anyone more dependable than her in Nihon…”
Anyone could likely deduce Yuuta’s client’s identity from those words. Aoi and Yukishiro correctly interpreted his remark. They guessed the client was someone in the state, either the prime minister or a very high official.
“The client has promised to keep you safe, right?”
“Yes, that is correct.”
“The client’s request for assistance is about getting in contact if Layla-san approaches you, Yuuta-sama. But right now, Layla-san can’t get close to you. So, by deliberately having you approach Layla-san in this format, they wish to create a debt with you by creating a situation that meets the request.”
“So it seems.”
“Yuuta-sama, you don’t have to do anything dangerous to fulfill the request for cooperation, do you?”
“No, I don’t. I haven’t hidden anything from you. I’ll just meet Takuya-kun at Kisarazu and talk with him. I won’t take any actions beyond that.”
“…I understand.”
Thus, it was decided that Yuuta would meet Takuya on the way back home from the school trip.
