Chapter 56 – Towards Tomorrow

We had boar meatball soup for dinner. Various chopped veggies and mushrooms had been mixed with eggs and meat paste. Each time I took a sip, I could experience a different taste and food texture, which was fun. The soup itself used a stock made out of kombu, mushrooms, and meat. It had a slightly thin taste, but was still tasty.

“It’s finally tomorrow, huh?” commented Shion calmly.

“Mmpff. True that,” Shouko agreed while chewing.

No sooner than that, she added more soup to her bowl, getting a second serving.

“I have no objection to Sou-kun’s strategy. Also, I’d like to know the rules’ details in advance,” Chiyu interjected.

Minori nodded, “True. Let’s ask about that tonight.”

I guess it isn’t my imagination seeing Minori with more appetite than usual. Did she possibly spend a lot of her energy during our little exercise earlier?

When I came to my senses after having attacked her so fervently that her legs gave way, her butt had been dyed white, and my cloudy liquid was dripping out from between her thighs like a flood. At the same time as I released my last shot, she had lost all strength and crumbled on the spot.

But let me say this once more: we just had intercrural sex.

After cleaning up, I returned home while carrying her. There, I got Chiyu to cast 『Intermediate HealSecond Heal』 on both of us. It removed the exhaustion, but the heal didn’t cover our nutritional state. A person gets hungry in proportion to their physical activity. Accordingly, I was currently wolfing down more food than usual, too. This was owed to me having fought three battles――with Chiyu, Shion, and Minori in a row――after breakfast.

When my eyes met with Minori’s, she looked embarrassed and yet somehow triumphant. Apparently, being desired by me counted as a plus for her. Of course, I too was very happy to have become close with a girl as attractive as Minori.

After smiling back at her, I surveyed the rest of our group.

“I guess we should review the strategy.”

“Mmh, first we’re going to move while hiding our identities. If we wear linen robes above our uniforms, we would be found out as long as we don’t get too close to others from our class.”

Even if some had memorized everyone’s remarks during the initial dream, I think the number is very limited. The risk of our identities being exposed by our abilities alone certainly exists, but it’s still much better than revealing our faces like that. Besides, Shion and Minori didn’t mention their abilities in the classroom, so as long as they hide their faces, their identities won’t be exposed through their abilities. It’s a hidden advantage for us, so there’s no reason not to do it.

“So, Sousuke will run while boosted by Chiyu-cchi’s strengthening and healing. We’ll move while riding Mashiro. Meanwhile, Chiyu-cchi will repeatedly recast the enhancement on Sousuke whenever it runs out.”

Also, based on Chiyu’s or my call, Chiyu will also cast enhancements on the other members of our party.

“If we encounter classmates, I’ll listen to their stories and swiftly decide whether they’re harmful to us. I’ll do my best to also get information that will be useful for our future exchanges, going beyond tomorrow’s event.”

Shion’s ability to tell lies apart would display its true value in interpersonal relationships. Assuming someone requests to cooperate with us after seeing our power, Shion will be able to see through any ulterior motives, no matter how much they try to gloss it over. Put another way, it might be possible to get close to other classmates after the event if they declare they wish to cooperate with us and truly mean it. This is a game you cannot win by yourself. Someone who can cooperate while being aware of this fact should be trustworthy.

“Sousuke-san will deal with those students who are hostile towards us or try to deceive us by lying. He will restrain them as far as the rules allow, decreasing the competitors.”

Even without this rule, I wouldn’t feel like committing murder, but we must be mindful of all possibilities.

“Alright, looks like everyone is perfectly up to date.”

Wrapping up the review of our strategy, we continued to spend our dinner time in a peaceful manner. After everyone finished eating, bathing came next.

While the girls, whom I told to go in first, were taking their bath, I put various things in order. I cleaned the kitchen and Shion’s room by putting things away and redeploying them.

By the way, while Minori and I were collecting stones, Shouko summoned sheep. Shouko, Shion, and Chiyu shore their fur and milked them. After all, Shouko would become unable to summon other creatures for some time after summoning her fluffy dragon and thus reaching the limit of summoned beings. Given that milk, fur, and all the other materials, which could be harvested from sheep, were very useful, this sort of consideration was appreciated. Though after seeing that, Minori felt apologetic for a while, knowing that she had indulged in such indecent acts with me while everyone else was working. I guess she’ll calm down a bit once she learns through the girls’ information-sharing that everyone was the same in this regard.

While considering all that, I gazed at the candles in the room.

“…Oh, how about creating lanterns?”

Wouldn’t it be possible to increase the light’s intensity by putting them in glass containers? Since the recipe was released while I was thinking about it, I immediately created it and put a candle inside.

“Ooohh, I feel like it’s become a lot better.”

Besides, won’t it become easier to carry the candles around like this? The house is made out of wood too, so it’s always dangerous to carry around candles, despite them being affixed in candlesticks.

“S-Sousuke?”

I could hear Shouko’s reserved voice from the other side of the door.

“Y-Yeah. Come in.”

As soon as I considered what I’d be doing with Shouko from now on, I got nervous.

“Oki… Huh? Isn’t it kinda bright in here?”

Shouko entered while holding a candlestick with a handle, just to raise her voice in surprise.

“I made a lantern. Of course, I’m going to make one for everyone else as well.”

“Ohh~ Nothing less of you, Sousuke. Our life over here is gradually becoming quite convenient.”

“To be honest, it’s fun to increase the number of things I can craft, you see.”

“I totally get it. I also have super fun when thinking about which fluff I can summon next. Under normal circumstances, it’s probably not a situation where I could say such things, though.”

“Yeah. …But rather than that, Shouko――why are you wearing your uniform?”

Yep, Shouko had put on her uniform. I had cleaned the girls’ uniforms and underwear while they were taking a bath. That’s why it wasn’t an issue for her to wear it, but usually she should be in her pajamas at this time. Besides, it looked like her pink nipples were faintly visible through her shirt. It made my heart beat faster.

“Hmm,” Shouko blew out her candle, placed the candlestick on my desk, and faced my way, “because it’s the most suited for what I’m going to do with you tonight, I guess?”

With those words, Shouko placed a hand on her buttons. But, she only undid the buttons around her chest area. Not the ones above or below.

“Or rather, today’s my turn, but it seems like you’ve been going out, releasing your junk all over the place since this morning. Will you actually be able to get him up for me?” Shouko asked with a sulky tone while climbing onto my bed.

“Of course, I will.”

“Really?”

“Yes, really. …Or rather, Chiyu cast Energy Up on me just as I came out of the bath…”

“Eh? I haven’t heard anything about that… I-I see, I see. Umm…that’s the one where you won’t be able to stop unless you release it ten times?”

“Yep, that’s the one.”

“Whoa, crazy. W-Well, even so…it’s fine as long as it allows you to get him up.”

Shouko leaned her back against the wall. And then she opened up the unbuttoned area of her uniform with her fingers, showing off the place between her breasts to me.
