Only Chiyu’s face peeked out through the open door, her eyes closely staring this way.

“Waah! Chiyu-cchi! It’s great to see you safe and sound~!”

However, seeing Shouko hop up and down in joy, Chiyu seemed to be taken aback instead.

“You too…Shoko-chan.”

“Oh, that’s a neat nickname! Shoko-chan, reporting in! Ahahaha.”

“…So you joined up with Iyama-san. No, wait. Maybe…you were transferred together since you had grabbed her hand back then, Sousuke-kun?” Shion inquired for some reason.

“That might probably be the reason, yeah.”

“Wow…did you realize what was going on?”

“No, it was just by chance.”

“Is that so? But, that chance must have made Iyama-san very happy, I’m sure.”

Chiyu said something like that as well, didn’t she?

I could only vaguely confirm her muttered remark.

“Sou-kun, come here for a sec.”

Beckoned over by Chiyu, I approached the door.

“What’s wrong?” I asked her once I was in front of the door.

“Why are you asking something so silly? Or are you telling me to step out in front of those two with my belly, uniform’s sleeves, and skirt all crusty?”

Chiyu looked at me somewhat threateningly.

“――Ah.”

Learning the reason why my childhood friend didn’t come outside, I started to feel awkward.

“If that’s your fetish, I will do my utmost to answer it as your beloved childhood friend. No choice then. I hear some men like to make their women walk outdoors with used condoms tied to their panties. If you appreciate this sort of play as well, Sou-kun, your crusty childhood friend shall sortie.”

“I’m sorry…! I’m going to put it into my 『Inventory』 right away.”

Even if the stains on the skin had been cleaned away with the soap, water, and bucket I prepared earlier, the same doesn’t apply to her clothes. Even if she were to try washing off the stains with the soap, it’d cause the fabric to be wet, making it look unnatural.

I should have noticed that she was waiting for my 『Inventory』 laundry. Still, just what the hell’s going on with Chiyu possessing knowledge about such an oddly specific, niche fetish…

“Halt the sortie?”

“Yes, halt it.”

“Mmh, here you go.”

She had apparently taken off her uniform already. I quickly stored it in my 『Inventory』 and took it back out.

“I’m truly sorry, Chiyu.”

Chiyu sighed, “I know. It’s not your fault. I just wanted to prank you a bit because I felt jealous.”

“No, I should have realized as much. I’ll be more careful from now on.”

Chiyu swiftly finished dressing herself, but then cocked her head at my comment.

“Does that mean you plan to sully me in the future as well?”

Her eyes had narrowed in a suspicious manner.

“Ugh.”

“Just joking. Let’s go.”

“Y-Yeah.”

“Chiyu-cchi? Sousuke? What are you whispering about over there?”

“Shouko-chan, just stay quiet and wait for them.”

After Chiyu got ready and I stored the items that had been left inside the hut, the two of us headed over to our guests.

“Sorry, we had to discuss a little something. I think you already know, but this is Iyama Chiyu. She’s been my childhood friend since kindergarten and we were transferred to this island together.”

Chiyu appeared to agree with me, wanting to properly confess to her after we get back to Earth. As such, it’d be weird for me to introduce her as my lover at present.

“Mmh, nice to meet you. I’m also fine with Chiyu.”

Chiyu implicitly told the other two that she’d heard them asking me to call them by their given name. Apparently comprehending that, Shion smiled wryly.

“Ahaha… Nice to meet you too, Chiyu-chan.”

Shion and Chiyu shook hands, but seeing Chiyu’s hand, I recalled what we did earlier. Until just a little while ago, that small hand of hers was holding…

No, no, no…

I shook my head, concentrating on the matters at hand.

“What’s up, Sousuke?”

“N-Nothing. Anyway, it’s dark and chilly. Would it be okay for me to light a fire?”

“Eh? Sousuke, you can make a fire?”

“Yeah, well. I created a firestarter with my ability and the rest came from there.”

“Whoa…! Do it, do it!”

I walked over towards the huge stone plate I had left out here.

“Chiyu, please help me.”

I had extinguished the fire, which we had earlier used for the bath and dinner, collected the ash in an earthenware pot, and turned it into an item.

This is yet another limitation of my ability, but I can’t store small grains that are touching the ground, such as sand or soil. Probably because the boundary line with the ground remains somewhat ambiguous in that case.

“I think it’s fine to have someone else do this for future reference.”

“If it isn’t anything too complicated, I’d like to help out.”

Shion raised her hand timidly.

“Yeah, sure. Please do.”

“Okay, you can count on me.”

Shion came up on the stone plate with a smile on her lips. We sat down on the stone and I set up the firestarter, which I took out from my 『Inventory』.

“Ohhh! A tool appeared out of thin air…is this also part of your ability?”

I have no intention of running my mouth about my ability before they officially become our friends, but…oh well, I’ve also seen her Fenrir, so this much should be acceptable, I suppose.

“Indeed. Shion, I’d like you to hold down the stone on this depression and step on both ends of this wooden board with your feet.”

“Oh, I see. My duty is to affix the tool, huh? Meanwhile, you’ll pull the string, creating a spark through friction, right?”

“Yep, you got it.”

Shion spread her legs, pushing down the wooden board. As I was used to this, it didn’t even take me ten seconds to get the embers going.

I couldn’t see them well due to the moonlight being the only light source, but it seems like Shion’s panties were black…

I immediately rid myself of those evil thoughts and prepared the open fire.

“A real open fire! Moreover, it ignited so quickly!”

I deployed log chairs around the fire from my 『Inventory』, and all of us sat down.

“Did you make these chairs, Sousuke?”

“With my ability, yes.”

“Shit, it’s super handy. It’s totally the best ability in a place like this.”

Shouko has been quite energetic for a while now. She’s been a lively girl to begin with, but she might be happy about being able to reunite with her friends on this uninhabited island.

“It’s been very useful to me. Besides, being able to have a Fenrir as a pet is quite a cheat as well.”

“Ahaha, no kidding… It’s not really a laughing matter, but I mean, there was a boy with a bag of potato chips, too.”

“Thanks to you, Sousuke-kun, many students have abilities, so I think all of them feel grateful towards you.”

“Totally! I’d have starved there without Mashiro, so I’m extremely thankful to you, Sousuke,” Shouko put her hands together as if praying.

By the way, the Fenrir moved behind Shouko and lay down. I’d like to try touching him, but I think we should have a talk for now.

“Well, it seems like some of them also chose weird abilities, so I’d suspect the number of thankful students to be rather low,” I added, since being praised too much felt embarrassing.

“That’s not your fault, Sou-kun.”

“Yep, yep. Isn’t it more important that there are some people like us who got saved by it?”

“I see. That makes sense… Besides, if it were possible to change the answer afterwards, the number of those with abilities might have increased.”

“Ah, that’s out of the question,” Shion objected.

“Shii-chan apparently answered twice, but only the first reply was taken into account.”

“Hoh.”

If that’s true, the majority of abilities and items are set. Even if it’s not everything, I remember what happened in that dream. And I have also memorized most of the answers given by the other students.

But I think it’d be better to put that topic aside right now. First should be information exchan――

Just when I was about to speak up, Shouko’s stomach growled.

“A-Ahahaha. Silly Mashiro. Why are you suddenly whimpering so cutely? Sheesh.”

Shouko really sucked at glossing it over.

Although the Fenrir had been dragged into his mistress’s lie, he tried to cover for her in a praiseworthy manner, aka whimpering in order to reproduce her stomach’s growling.

What a loyal Fenrir.

For starters, it looks like it’d be better to prepare something to eat before we have a serious talk.
