Chapter 285: She’s Mastered Riding a Flying Broom!

Basically, the broom is controlled by voice. Also, it’ll head in the direction where the handle’s tip is pointing, and it’ll automatically stop if it encounters any obstacle in front.

Because the broom uses gravity and floating magic, you don’t need to put much power into your hold of the handle, but you’ll kind of become incapable of steering it by putting too much strength into your hands when scared.

Sword got on the broom to give her an example, and after I explained everything to the duchess, she mounted the broom herself.

I ended up breathing roughly through my nose.

“I’ll admit she’s amazin’ ‘nough at this that it’s no wonder for you to get excited. I thought you and I would be the only ones capable of ridin’ the brooms like that.”

Sword was startled, too. Seeing him surprised, the duchess flashed a daring smile at him.

“Hehehehehehe… Don’t underestimate me, Sword! Sure, the amount of my training has decreased after my marriage, but I still won’t lose to an average adventurer or knight!”

Ah, her true colors have come out.

Despite being a duchess, Lady Ally appears to have a mischievous side that’s not inferior to Duke Chaudgal’s. Damsel Scarlet was covering her face while totally emitting an aura of feeling betrayed by her mother.

Frivolous lad Number Two said, but the women, who already experienced riding the broom immediately chided him.

“It does look fun if you’re watching from a distance, but that’s quite scary, you know?”

I added, “You won’t be able to master the broom if you cannot feel excited and have fun when flying on a broom. Like Sword, I and her.”

Lady Ally had a real blast up there. At this point, she’s flying all over the place as she pleases. Watching her gallant figure, I let my thoughts wander.

“I think I’d actually sell it if I could get you, Damsel Scarlet, to ride one as well… A pretty witch with big boobs does have a charm, but if we’re going for it anyway, can’t you ride the brooms together with your mother while cosplaying? Lady Ally would wear a violet robe with frilly sleeves, two long slits at the sides reaching all the way up to her buttocks, and a deep cleavage, while the outfit of a magical girl with a miniskirt and a loads of frills would work best for you, Damsel Scarlet.”

Damsel Scarlet stared at me coldly. Oh, it wasn’t just her either. Sword and the two women of 【Pale Moon of Dawn】 looked at me like that as well.

The other men nodded, apparently agreeing with my notion…but, as soon as the women looked at them with frosty stares, they hurriedly looked elsewhere.

“Make one for me as well.”

Sword requested, but I turned away in a huff.

“Men riding brooms is boring and hard to look at. I could compromise on a cute, young boy, so I’d be fine with Sahad riding a broom and I’d love to see Plana do it.”

“A beauty flyin’ ’round might be a great sight to behold for you who loves women despite bein’ one yourself! But I want to fly a broom as well! Please, make one for me too!”

You ask me while pulling on my cheeks!?

Sword let go of me and looked at Damsel Scarlet.

“Rather, just now you mentioned some interestin’ game, didn’t you?”

Sure, it’d be kinda amazing if we actually put that into practice.

“It’s about chasing after an escaping ball and launching balls that chase people at the opposing team, if I remember correctly. But, it’s impossible. At present, only you, me, and Lady Ally can fly a broom. Also, since we might get scolded if this story is found out, let’s leave it at that, okay?”

He meekly nodded when I cautioned him seriously.

“If we’re talking about practical use, it’s best to use it as vehicle. Though I believe it’d be better to fly after installing wings on the back at the very least. Brooms flying around inside the store is one thing, but if we flew around on those outside, we’d be taken down by flying monsters. Unlike us, they’re experts at flying after all,” I simply rattled down what came to mind.

But, Sword immediately latched onto the second part of my statement.

“Hmm…that sounds like fun.”

Bah…he really loves his toys, doesn’t he!?

At last I reached my limit and roared, “Say what you like, but those are toys! They’re basically toys that can freely fly around while getting steered by remote controllers when needed. I made them on the premise of using them as display items! I only included the option of someone actually flying on them out of a playful mood. Their utility value is non-existent!”

They seem to be using them in the country of magic, though. I think not going with brooms is better. Come to think of it, another country of magic used carpets, didn’t they? Also, clouds, right? A Nimbus cloud would be quite neat, wouldn’t it?
