Chapter 278: What Do You Plan to Do with My Base Body?

Damsel Scarlet’s eyes lit up with a gleam while she asked, “Undeveloped…that means, it’s also possible to turn that Indra version into an adult man?”

……

“Yeah, it’s possible. But in such a case, you can also use my base body values as reference to make it easier,” Mr. Amato blurted out something unnecessary as I had remained silent.

The sparkle in Damsel Scarlet’s eyes became even stronger, and she pestered him, “Could I have you create it together with me next time?”

Why!? What do you plan to do after turning me into a guy!? All I get from that are bad vibes! I mean, it’s more than questionable what a degenerate of the BL and Yaoi world would do to my male version, if I handed it to her!

“What do you plan to do with my male version?”

Once I fearfully questioned her about this, Damsel Scarlet stared at me blankly while saying, “I would prefer a man escorting a woman over a woman escorting another woman when it comes to guides.”

Or so she said. But okay, that does make sense.

I felt deeply relieved.

Sword drew close while pulling a miserable expression, “…I haven’t thought of ‘nythin’ I’d need to feel guilty of, ‘kay?”, and started to make excuses.

“I know. It was a joke, so don’t take it so seriously. I just teased you a bit since I felt sorry for Mr. Amato. The others also didn’t take it seriously. …He’s a pure engineer and a professional at creating this sort of stuff. Looking at a professional like a weirdo and treating him like a criminal is quite unfair, don’t you think?”

“…I see. That was my bad then.” Sword scratched his head. “But, that golem missy is his preferred type in women, right?”

“Probably. The maker’s preferences will always show in their creations. However, given that I was used as a base reference point here, it was unavoidable for the result to resemble me. If he had used another woman as base, Sakura would most likely seem to resemble her. The figure itself is likely his preference, though he also had to keep bodily balance in mind. Overall a slender body line, but not flat like a board. No huge breasts either. Even with her butt being on the smaller side, the fleshiness isn’t that bad. He also fiddled with the face a bit, but he kept it at bay since it’d become eerie if he meddled with it too much.”

Sakura has a face as Japanese people would like it, I suppose.

“Hmm…”

Sword stared at Sakura.

“You want to tamper around with her as well?”

It’s just Sword looks like he’d like this sort of stuff.

But, Sword shook his head, “I don’t have the hobby of messin’ ’round with your base body. In such a case, I’d rather prefer to make it from scratch.”

Seriously?

“That’s extremely taxing work, you know?”

“I see. In that case, I’d use your base body just as it is. If you’re going to make a golem missy for me as well, use the unaltered base body of yours.”

I curtly declared, “You won’t receive one.”

“Huh?”

“You can get guided around by the horbs!”

Sword looked at me while startled, but I walked ahead without sparing him a single glance.

Why would he say that he wants me to keep my base body as it is!? Is he into childish bodies!? Didn’t he mention that he prefers big breasts!?

Sakura came to a halt in front of a door.

“Please touch the door over here with your hand.”

Bennyboy did as told, resulting in the part he touched lighting up and the door opening.

“Oh, this place has a normal automatic door.”

Mr. Amato and Damsel Scarlet weren’t surprised by it, probably because they already knew about automatic doors. The others, on the other hand, were all astonished.

“I wanted to go with a more novel idea, but couldn’t come up with anything. Well, the sliding mechanism of automatic doors is probably the best.”

The room beyond was pitch dark, but once you took a step inside, a soft illumination turned on. The walls and floor were brilliant white, covered with a magic element coating. The intensity had been increased as well so as to give it a smooth appearance. Moreover, it has been set up so that any place you touched would light up.

“Wow! This is so lovely!”

“…How incredible.”

Mmh, just as expected, Sword was fascinated by this as well. I folded my arms and nodded in satisfaction.

“It was quite difficult to pull off. Not the part about installing it, but the vanishing once you walk past.”

“”””Ehh?””””

Immediately everyone started to run all over the place. However, just the places they touch actually lit up.

“”””Seriously!?””””

Yep, seriously. Science is much easier for this sort of gadget. If I had made this with magic tools, it’d have been a real chore.

“Try to go downstairs. And if possible, keep a distance between each other as you do.”

Upon my request, Sakura took the lead, “I shall guide you.”

Once Bennyboy stepped on the first step, it immediately gleamed up in mint green.

“No way!!”

This green light made it possible to see the next step. Stairways are dangerous, so I made sure that the next step would light up as soon as a foot was approaching it.

Everyone cheerfully headed downstairs. And at the end, I nimbly slid down the railing.

“Ahhh! How dare you pick such a fun means to get down!!” Sword bickered.

I ignored Sword and led everyone through the basement.

“This is the wine corner. It’s equipped with a visible cellar while also displaying cheap wine and shop bottles. The cellar has an integrated temperature and humidity control for various types of liquors. Only registered employees or the horbs can open the shelves. Since a fairly big number of horbs is monitoring the area, I doubt it’ll be possible for anyone to break in here unless they use some outrageous means to do so. “Surveillance cameras”…basically devices allowing others to constantly watch what’s happening inside this room…are active, so it won’t be possible to do anything suspicious here either. Anti-theft tags have been added to the bottles, and if someone tries to carry a bottle outside with its tag still attached, it’ll trigger an alarm and the thief will be attacked by the horbs and Ryokus.”

Everyone swallowed hard.

“The horbs and Ryokus can remove the anti-theft tags. Since they’ll remove them once something has been sold, you don’t really need to mind them.”

I’ve simply stuffed very tiny magic stone splinters into the bottle, and if a bottle is sold, the splinter will have 『Sold』 inscribed into it.

“The wall’s flat surfaces are shelves. They’ll slowly open if a registered person touches them.”

Once I touched a wall, a square outline lit up as if being cut out of the even surface, and a drawer slid out of the wall.

“Holy shit, that’s so awesome!!” Bennyboy was very excited about this.

“I agree with him on that,” Sword nodded deeply with a serious expression.

But yeah, Sword loves this sort of stuff, doesn’t he?

Mr. Amato was repeatedly nodding as well while the other visitors were flabbergasted.

“Magic arts sure are great,” I said.

It earned me a comment from Damsel Scarlet, who replied with a serious look, “It is not just magic that is great, but also your whole existence being a cheat, Lady Indra.”

I shrugged my shoulders at that.

“It’s only natural, but Bennyboy has the highest security rank. Sorry, Bennyboy, but Sword and I have the same level of permissions. It’s a rule for me to give administrator rights to Sword and me for everything I build. Also, you have to decide what sort of security clearance you’re going to give your employees, Bennyboy. You can set it through your tablet.”

Bennyboy acknowledged this with a light tone, “Ayes. I don’t mind your permission levels at all. Rather, I wouldn’t be able to handle an amazing building like this by myself anyway.”

…He’s got a point. I’m the only one capable of maintaining it.
