In reply to hugo. I was born and raised in the United States, and I also feel that American English is ridiculous. I used the sentence: "I spelt that word incorrectly" and got corrected with "that's not a real word, it's 'spelled'", fuck you! Spelt and Spelled are interchangeable in every other English speaking country!

Concerning cheating: not entirely. The projectile formed by placing Liaris inside armor owed its properties to the mana and intention of Liaris, so she definitely had a contribution. Mind you, it is but a trial for fighting the dragon who can melt a projectile with its breath, UNLESS it is actively protected by mana possessed by suitably frightened person. That scheme requires a shy but a very motivated maiden.

In 19-th century there was a modest reform in orthography in USA to reflect original Latin rather than Latin words spelled in French fashion to reflect French way of speaking. Germans OTOH tried to stick close to Latin spelling and/or the way of speaking of ancient Romans, e.g. Kaiser faithfully renders the original way of saying Caesar. Also, if you want to hear "silly local accents", visit England and Scotland -- there is a big variety of those, not all of them easy to understand.
