Honestly, I thought it was dishonest for the guild master to do that. This is far from the camaraderie that is expected. He treated his subordinates as disposable pieces. And the author did not make it clear what this “mission” was. Get rid of the unwanted? Collect any information? This story was very strange. Saudações BR

I don’t get the first part of this chapter. Who’s talking to who? i know there’s a demon researcher but who’s the other one?

This story is one of my favorites because of things like this chapter. We constantly see how multiple characters on different sides are given enough agency by the author to affect the world on a large scale. Mass slaughtering of adventurers by Fritz under the orders of the nobles. Rona being behind Shion’s attackers and harassment by the guild. The King(probably) being the one who sent Rona to Shion. Demons preparing to conquer the world by releasing their monstrosities. The MC getting caught up in events while looking for food or helping his friends/spoiling Shion.
