I truly dont undernstand shitty nobles….
I Mean, its almost sure klaus is in cahots with someone else to him do that. Wend is given a land in Savage Lands, where nobody can do anything but him with magic. Tere will be a lot of nobles Share. If wend is out of there, who will gain anything?
To not mention , he has a lot of powerful backers start with king, cardinal etc.

For sure among those 30 there is elite assassin, before they told that a noble can lose his status if he dont stops a rebelion or fights in his territory so probably the plot against him is aiming for this that way the King will have to take from the baumaister his territory by the pressure of the nobles

I believe it would be a battle for Klaus and Artur's and he might be the scene where Klaus would have to except Artur's was right of his revelation and he has to let go of his son. And yeah, if this would head on battle of between 30 and dragon slayer group (with knowledge of maybe TV shows or movies which hostage situation (if he was in to those kind of things)) it will be an quick victory.
