Wend is gettin more and more idiotic as chapter are written. Why use water and wind magic to cut stones when you have earth magic? The magic does not have any basic rules to them either he just makes up spells as covenient. Using huge amount of mana to teleport a panty from a mile out of his mansion while he can teleport from one side of the country to the other multiple times.

Thought Wilma was going to be an actual wife as they said in previous chapters, so she will be only concubine? Well, it’s not much diferent since Elise is going to be the first wife, anyway. I’m still waiting for at least 1 more heroine, max 3 more.

He also decided to take action after his granduncle’s petition to take care of his family… In the end his involvement was a mix of various reasons.
*First, the country trying to push the development of the Savage Lands to him, as he posseses a huge amount of assests and funds to finance dicho development.
* Second, the incredibly arrogant and disrespectful behavior displayed by his brother, Kurt.
*Third, the Margrave of Breithilde wanted since the beginning for him to succeed as the behavior of the Baumeister Knight household was questionable at best, considering the fact they secluded themselves and neglected the development of their land
*And lastly, and probably the biggest reason, as mentioned before, the promise he made with his granduncle of taking care of the branch family, which will have probably faced unfavorable treatment if Kurt were to succeed.

In the end all these reasons piled on top of each other, forcing him to take action evento against his own desirée.

In reply to Shasu. It is a reward so it is his personal asset now and not the crown's. If they insist, they should return his magic airships and more. Then they can tax him because they have at least invested something. Just makes me angry that they have almost zero investment and they get to have a portion of the product of Wendelin's hard work. It is too close to reality that it hurts. :(

In reply to seraphimaelstrom. The tax of the territory goes to Wendelin though. He has probably to pay some separate tax to the kingdom, but that's likely a fixed rate he would have to pay anyway. And, in the first place, they gave him the huge reward for the underground ruin stuff just for that exact reason as far as I remember. xD

It is efficient and all but, why the hell is Wendelin using his own money? That is a city built and will be taxed by the Kingdom. Why isn’t the Kingdom the one paying? If he gets all the money taxed afterwards, then sure, use all his money for investment. But why the hell, are the ones, not even investing a single sht get to have a portion of the tax? No matter what time period, as long as there is someone dumb with a lot of money, people of higher position can and will take advantage of them. Politicians, almost all are corrupt whatever timeline you go. Sorry I am just really irritated at how much of a pushover Wendelin is becoming.
