Let me use this opportunity to advertise the follow-up project for Ascendance of a Bookworm that will start from next week on:

I will translate Tale of Mismarca Kingdom. It’s a fairly old series that has finished at 12 Volumes + 1 Extra Volume. You can already check the Table of Contents here. There exists a manga of it and the first 2 or 3 chapters of volume 1 have already been translated elsewhere a few years back, but I will start from the scratch.

Give it a chance and check it out!

two important bits of information.

First off, some might have seen it already, but here’s the official PV for the anime of Ascendance of a Bookworm:

Second, J-NovelClub has announced its licensation of the novel.

I already said it in my initial blog post when I picked up this novel that I will drop it once it’s officially licensed by an English publisher. As such I will translate the novel up to chapter 103, which is the end of the ongoing Light Novel volume. After that you have to either read the raws or wait for JNC to catch up with the current fan translation.

Naturally the chapters will be taken down once JNC starts on the current LN volume.

first off, yesterday it was announced that Ascendance of a Bookworm will get an anime adaption by Ajia-do Animation Works. Mitsuru Hongo (»World Trigger«) and Hideki Kawasaki will be the directors. The voice actor for Maïne will be Yuka Iguchi, who voiced Index in To aru Majutsu no Index, and another character that hasn’t yet appeared in the translated story will be voiced by Sho Hayami, who recently voiced Azami Nakiri in Shokugeki no Soma. A date hasn’t been revealed yet, but it’s something to look forward to (below you can also check the first visual for the anime production).

just as I mentioned the other day on the NU Forums, I will pick up Bookworm on a bi-weekly release schedule for now. I really love this series and as such I’d like it to be translated even after blastron threw the towel.

As some of you might know already, I’m no native English speaker. Thus I’m effectively searching for 1 or 2 editors to help me out on this to give the chapters a better flow.
