News: Nidoume no Jinsei wo Isekai de – Anime in 2018

And here I was browsing the twitter feed of Ido Masa, the author of Summoned Slaughterer, and suddenly stumbled upon those news. Well both authors publish under the same label, HJ novels, so I guess it’s only natural that the author of SS would forward an official announcement of HJ Novels.

Probably some of you already know, but Nidoume no Jinsei wo Isekai de gets an Anime starting in October this year, see here.

At least it now makes sense why J-Novel Club has picked up that series, which had already around 15 volumes at the time they announced their licensing, and is pushing the release rate of the novel volumes (currently they are half through volume 3 after less than a half year since starting).

I suppose it helps to have connections to the industry. πŸ˜‰

Nidoume no Jinsei wo Isekai de – Chapter 82: It seems to be the time of departure

All good things come to an end…

This is the final chapter to be released by Infinite Novel Translations of this novel. As mentioned in a prior announcement post here, this novel was licensed by J-Novel Club.

This novel had grown on me and I was planning great things for it through Patreon this year, but was thwarted by its licensing.

As I wish to start releasing “The Spearmaster and the Black Cat” coming Saturday, I’m going to release this last chapter slightly ahead of time.

As macabre it may sound, it is a fitting chapter for being the last one. Oh well, enjoy it.

Update: Nidoume no Jinsei wo Isekai de licensed by J-Novel Club

Heyas folks,

today I was contacted by J-Novel Club that they licensed Nidoume no Jinsei wo Isekai de.

Here a little extract:

You may have noticed on the news, but we have now licensed Nidome no Jinsei from Hobby Japan, and have begun releasing the series officially.

As is our usual procedure, I’m emailing you to request that you remove your translations of the portion of the web novel that correspond to volume 1 from your website, and when we begin to translate volume 2, please remove those chapters as well etc…

I took some time to consider the options and also discussed it with the team and we decided to stop the translation at this point in time.

Some may ask “Why?” as it clearly states above that the content that isn’t released by J-Novel doesn’t have to be removed. But as translator I don’t feel like starting to play a game of cat and mouse. And unless I up my release speed, which I naturally don’t intend to do as that would affect my other projects, J-Novel would catch up in about 2 years or less with my progress (going by their release speed of other series’). By that time most of the series would be an empty husk with most of the content being removed from this blog. So yea, no point in that as I’m usually going for the long run and not short term.

I have two chapters in stock of which one will be released in a while and the other one regularly in two weeks time.

I’m sorry towards all those who supported this series being translated on this blog up until now, but just like with Yomigaeri no Maou and Black Summoner, I see no point in trying to struggle against an official licensing and thus chose to make a clear cut at this place.

On the bright side, it also offers you the chance to legally support the author by buying the English books online.

According to their demand, volume 1 has been removed from this blog. The rest will follow in a few weeks time, so if you want to salvage anything, do it before you have to later search through the dozens of aggregator sites and e-pub blogs.

So what will happen next? A new series will come, naturally. I’m not into changing release speeds of currently running projects or hashing up old projects that are dormant due to me lacking motivation/reason to do them. I need my dose of alternating stories and styles after all.

One potential candidate will be posted later today, so look forward to that. πŸ™‚

Many greetings,

Nidoume no Jinsei wo Isekai de – Chapter 78: It seems to be a night assault 2

Heyas folks,

here comes a regular release of Nidoume no Jinsei wo Isekai de.

We have now entered volume 5 of the Light Novel and thus I updated the Cover in the Table of Contents.

Below you will find one illustration from volume 4 I missed placing because I’m not 100% sure where it actually fits.

Anyway, have fun~

Translated by Shasu

This could have also been labelled as interlude, but as there’s no numbering in the title just like with the other interludes, I opted to include it as regular chapter. πŸ™‚

Nidoume no Jinsei wo Isekai de – Chapter 76: It seems to be the return of the dragoons

Heyas folks,

here’s the second regular release of Nidoume no Jinsei wo Isekai de for this month, albeit a bit delayed but I hope you won’t mind.

There’s a few things to mention:

1.) This chapter marks the end of the second arc called “Something like an activity compilation” and also volume 4 of the Light Novel. It was a turbulent arc unlike the first one with one event after the other following up in series. I have seen that some people complain about the author not fleshing out the side-characters and I can agree with that, but likely the author has chosen to go down the path of an action-driven writing style rather than a detailed one as he did in arc 1 which many regarded as boring and slow-paced (including myself). Well we shall see.

The next arc is called “Something like the advent of a hero” by the way. I will decide whether it’s brave (one who leads many) or hero (one who leads few or goes solo) at the end of the arc. πŸ™‚

2.) I have changed magic and magician to sorcery and sorcerer. Well there are many different opinions on how to actually translate the actual terms as it’s not really defined either. But as I want to streamline it a bit more towards an unified way for all my series, I hope you can cope with that (not like it’s a really big change anyway). Judgement is something called houjutsu in the raw. I’m not sure yet whether it’s another family of magic or just one spell but it’s a magic skill.

3.) This chapter has been rather bulky with the author using long and complicated sentences. My English language skill lacks to make such things flow nicely. Thus I’m looking for a dedicated editor who is a native English speaker and has enough time to be online sometimes during European evening time (GMT +1). And yes, I’m only looking for native speakers that are confident in their written language skill as I don’t have the time to teach you from ground up, how to edit things properly. Well contact me at, if interested.

Well, that’s all for me, enjoy~
